All AWT Fusamatic spigots are manufactured from PE100 virgin polyethylene polymer or commonly known as PE or HDPE to manufacture the PE or HDPE Pipe and Fitting supplied by recognised international market leaders such as Borealis and Ineos.

The fittings are Long Spigot Type unless otherwise stated are suitable for :
• Butt Fusion Pipe and Fitting Jointing
• Electrofusion Pipe and Fitting Jointing
• Gas Application - EN1555, AS/NZS 4129 & ISO Type 5
• Water Application - EN12201, WRAS, AS/NZS 4129 & WaterMark

All materials comply with the requirements of relevant standards including EN 12201 for drainage, sewerage and potable water, and EN 1555 for gas. The recommended temperature range for Fusamatic spigots is -10˚C to +40˚C.

All AWT Fusamatic spigots are subjected to continuous testing and control from the start to the end of the production process. Testing is in accordance with the requisite British, European and Australian standards. Further testing is undertaken to ensure product acceptance on a global basis.

• Melt Flow Rate (MFR) test – in accordance with the methodology specified in EN ISO 1130.
• Oxidation Induction Time (OIT) test – in accordance with the methodology specified in ISO 11357-6.
• Resistance to internal pressure at constant temperature in accordance with the methodology specified in EN 1167.
• Test temperature 20 °C - 100 h
• Test temperature 80 °C - 165 h
• Test temperature 80 °C - 1000 h
• Verification of mechanical welding characteristics: yield stress, tear decohesion, crushing decohesion. Testing methods in accordance with the methodology specified in ISO 13953.

AWT Fusion HDPE Pipe and Fitting comply with the requirements of:
• EN 12201-3 Plastics piping systems for water supply, and for drainage and sewerage under pressure. Polyethylene (PE) Fittings.
• EN 1555 - 3 Plastics piping systems for the supply of gaseous fuels. Polyethylene (PE) Fittings.
